Memorial Visitation:   Saturday, May 13th   2 - 5 p.m.at out West Sayville location,  245 Main St. West Sayville

Church Service:    Monday, May 15th  10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Episcopal Church Middle Rd. Sayville

Interment to follow:  at Union Cemetery,  Sayville 

Norma L. McKendrick, 77, of Sayville, passed away on May 10, 2017.  She was born in Bayport, and moved to her current home ten years ago. Norma was a life long parishioner of St. Ann's Episcopal Church and had volunteered for close to 50 years at St. Ann’s Thrift shop. She was a 1958 Graduate of Bayport High School and married her former husband John McKendrick of Blue Point in 1959. Norma was a Bayport Brownie Leader and Girl Scout Leader during the 1960's.

Mrs. McKendrick also volunteered many years at the Suffolk County Maritime Museum, decorating the Dutchman's Cottage and  setting up the Randolph Oyster Shanty that displays many of her Dutch families artifacts. She went back to school and achieved an Associates Degree from Suffolk Community College. Later in life, Norma worked for Home Depot in the Gardening department and Interior Design area cutting blinds. Norma enjoyed sailing, canoeing, and gardening.

She was also a member of the following organizations: Past President of the Bayport Home Extension, Daughter's of Union Veterans of the Civil War and the Sayville Historical Society. Mrs. McKendrick is predeceased by her parents Adrian and Helen Daane. She is survived by her children, Scott and his wife Kathleen of Bayport, Christine Imhof of North Bergen, NJ,  Karen Bacalla and her husband Phil of Cape Coral, FL, her grandchildren Randy, Will, Erin, Kim and Kelly and her sister June Chiuchiolo of Orrtanna, PA.
