Funeral Mass:  11 a.m. Monday, November 20th, at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church, 175 Blue Point Avenue, Blue Point, New York 11715.

Cremation was private.

Raymond A. Steyert, 90, a resident of Bayport since 1971, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 surrounded by his family.  Mr. Steyert retired as a Battalion Chief with the FDNY after 29 years of service.  He was also an active member and longtime usher at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church in Blue Point and a lifelong NY Ranger fan.

Mr. Steyert is survived by his wife of 66 years, Geraldine, his children, Jean Marie Cronin and her husband Kevin of Bayport, Laura Piepho and her husband Bryan of Connecticut, Richard and his wife Iris of Bayport, Arlene Lawrence and her husband Howard of Bayport, Robert and his wife Jillian of Bayport and Tara Kupecki and her husband Andy of Mattituck, as well as his thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his son Raymond in 1990.
