“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” ~ John 11:25,26

The following speaks volumes to the love I have for my mother:

A beautiful mind that first thought of me
A womb that kept me safe
A smile that exploded
The first time she saw my face

Loving arms that cradled me
Gentle hands that combed my hair
A contagious, vibrant laugh
That still lingers in the air

Two lips that kissed my occasional bruises
And wiped away my tears
A tongue that prayed continuously
Through all my childhood and adult years

Approving eyes that watched me grow
That never missed my high school band concerts
Ears that listened to all my concerns
Advice that helped me grow and prosper

A faith that helped me spread my wings
Her spirit made me strong
Encouragement that made me brave
That helped me attain my goals

The greatest mom, my trusted friend
I wish I could see your smile
Still, today my heart leaps with joy
Because I had you for a while

Ninety years, spent and gone
A life that briefly touched my own
A smile on her Savior’s face
A soul that’s finally home

No one can replace you Mom, but God can comfort your heart. He knows what You need during this time much better than anyone else.

Love, your son, Rich

Sad to see you go, but happy for your new born life, once again young and happy with your husband. Most of all, no more pain and suffering!
