William Stephen White

William Stephen White was born April 14th, 1943 in Donora, Pennsylvania.  He was the 1stof 4 children born to William & Olga White. William attended Donora High School and graduated in 1961.  William had 3 sisters.

In March 1964, Willian enlisted in the United States Air Force and served until he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in February 1968.

On August 16, 1969, he married the late Bonnie Louise Poten in Massapequa New York.  They had two daughters, Laura & Lisa.

William became an engineer and worked for Grumman Aerospace & Dayton T. Brown where he used his knowledge from the United States Air Force to help test airplane training units.

William became a grandfather to his only grandchild, Peter (Petey), in April 2004.  Petey was William’s greatest joy since he two daughters were born. 

William was a die-hard NY Met & Jet fan.  He enjoyed taking his daughters to Met games at Shea Stadium when they were younger.  He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, keeping a large garden, cooking the perfect steak, and spending as much time as possible with his daughters and only grandchild.

William was a devoted father, brother, husband & grandfather.  He will be missed by all that knew him. 

William leaves to cherish his memory, daughters Laura & Lisa, grandson Petey and many nieces & nephews, and a host of beloved relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, William was monthly contributor to Wounded Warriors charity.
