William Murray Obituary

William C. Murray, 78, a nearly 50-year resident of Bayport, LI, died on February 6, 2020. Raised in Hicksville, Mr. Murray worked with his family in auto sales and later as an agent with Allstate Insurance Company. He was also a longtime member of the Sayville Yacht Club.

Mr. Murray is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara, his two sons, William III and his wife Elizabeth of Marblehead, Massachusetts and Richard of Manhattan; his four grandchildren, Charlie, David, Hannah and Westy; as well as his sister, Karen Ferris. He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home. Services were private. A celebration of William’s life will be held at a later date.
