William T. Lorber (Bill) passed peacefully the morning of July 2, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Dolores D. Lorber for nearly 58 years. He is survived by his wife and children, Toni Marie Ruggiero and her husband Rick, David Lorber and his wife Kate, and Kimberly and her husband Vincent.
Bill was an ‘old reliable’ sort of man. If you asked him for a favor, you could count on him being there. He was quick with numbers and served his church as the treasurer for many years. While keeping a night job with the Suffolk County Maintenance Department, Bill also ran a successful family painting business for many years. His technique and attention to detail made him a sought after tradesman.
In his leisure time he collected stamps and coins and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles. He was an avid Mets fan and loved watching a summer game with his wife.
Bill, better known as ‘Pop’ to those he loved most was a devoted grandfather and till the end enjoyed nothing more the making the kids laugh. He will be missed.
