William A. Laghezza

Laghezza, William A. age 88 of Oakdale on September 24, 2021. Bill was a proud Korean Veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps. Later he went on to become a member of the FDNY. He last worked at King Kullen Grocery as Director, MIS. "Friday Bill" was a longtime Fire Island Lighthouse Volunteer. He is survived by his wife Patricia, his daughters Lori (Tom) Downing, Lisa (Tommy) Boyd, Lynn (Terry) Canning, Leanne (Don) Boller and his grandchildren Jillian, Zachary, Mallory, Olivia, Cara, Alison, Brett and Lindsey. Visitation will be held at the Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home 245 Main Street West Sayville, NY 11796 on Monday September 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday September 28th 10:00 am at St. John Nepomucene RC Church in Bohemia. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the NYFire Fighter Burn Center Foundation c/o nyffburncenter.com in Bill's memory.
