William Richard Brown

William Richard Brown, age 84, resident of Baiting Hollow, died on September 6, 2025. 

William attended college at Hofstra University, where he was a standout football player, and worked as a full-time CPA until his passing. He will be remembered as a loyal fan of his grandsons’ baseball teams, Rangers hockey, and Notre Dame football, and as someone who loved to strike up a conversation with anyone he met.

He is survived by his loving wife Cecilia, his daughter Christina Magee and her husband Matthew, his grandchildren Michael, age 12, and William, age 8, and his brothers, Douglas and James.
