Thomas Reid Obituary

Tom Reid died September 6, 2021. He was a long time BBP resident He was born on November 28, 1947 in Queens and grew up in Central Islip before being drafted in the military and moving to Oklahama while on duty for 2 years. He moved to Blue Point in 1977. He was the manager of Unique Stationary store in Sayville during the day and on weekend nights a club disco DJ . He began his 2nd side job as a printing broker and AGC Printing grew and became his primary work. In the early 1990’s Tom decided he wanted to publish a local good news newspaper and began publication of the Bayport-BluePoint Gazette and eventually the Sayville Gazette. He was a cherished figure in the community and an integral and loved member of the Chamber of Commerce. He will be missed by us all.

A celebration honoring Tom will be held at Cavanaugh's in Blue Point September 25 from 1-3 pm
