Thomas F. Casey

Thomas F. Casey, age 79, resident of West Sayville, LI., died on March 25, 2025. A teacher of English for 32 years, Tom’s greatest love was the outdoors. His free time was spent in hiking and working to preserve outdoor spaces. Chair and board member of several environmental non profits, Tom was also a writer, artist and accomplished woodworker. 

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Sherri, his brother Kevin Casey and his wife Patricia, his sister Kathleen Patten and her husband John, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 30th from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home 245 Montauk Hwy. West Sayville. Words of Remembrance will take place at 4:00 p.m. Cremation private.
