Theresa Puente

Theresa Zolezzi Puente, 80, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026 following a short illness. She dedicated herself to her career as a teacher at Academy Street Elementary School in Bayport.

She is survived by her devoted daughter Andrea Rettig and her loving grandchildren Mallory and Andrew Rettig. She is also survived by her sister Francine Mulderig and many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her parents Adeline and Frank Zolezzi and her sister Rosemarie Connors.

Donations in Theresa’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
