Teresa Elena Gonzalez

Teresa Elena Gonzalez, passed away November 5, 2020. Born in Panama, Teresa visited the United States with friends in 1962 and decided this would be the place to raise her children. In 1963, she and her husband obtained working papers and sponsorship to begin their life in Flushing, Queens. They moved out to East Islip in 1972 were they have been ever since. Teresa worked as an accountant for Fairchild and then subsequently Grumman. She and her husband were devote Catholics and were members of the St. Mary’s RC Church congregation since 1972. Most importantly, Teresa was very dedicated to her family.

She is survived by her husband Jose, her children Eddie, Mel, and his wife Patty, Marvin, and her nephew Bernie who was like a son to her. Grandchildren Alec, Tanner, Kettrick, Kourtni, Meghan, and Tessa.
