Susan J. Lynch

Susan J. Lynch, 76, of Bayport, NY, died on Friday, October 17, 2025.  Raised in Queens, Susan was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Godfrey.  She lived in Bayport for more than forty years and worked as a secretary in the Bayport-Blue Point School District for many years. 

Mrs. Lynch is survived by her husband of 52 years, John, her three children, Terry and his wife Samira of Yonkers, Erin of Bayport and Kate of Jersey City, her three grandchildren, Jayden, Layla and Salma, as well as three siblings, Carol Scheetz and her husband Bob, Maureen Campbell and her husband Bruce and Robert Godfrey.  She was predeceased by her brother Douglas Godfrey.  In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Marilyn Godfrey and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Friends and relatives will gather on Thursday, October 23rd, 3-7 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in Bayport.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 24th at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church in Blue Point and interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery.
