Susan Andersen

Susan Andersen, 75, a resident of Sayville, NY for nearly fifty years, died on June 22, 2026.  Raised in Merrick, Susan graduated from Kennedy High School in Bellmore and went on to earn her Associate’s Degree at Nassau Community College.  Susan worked in respiratory therapy at several hospitals on Long Island, most recently at Stony Brook University Hospital where she worked for 26 years.

Susan is survived by her husband, James, her three sons, Robert and his wife Meghan of Sayville, Gregory and his wife Kerri of Patchogue and Kenneth and his wife Taylor of Islip, her five grandchildren, Emily, Madelyn, Abigail, Cameron and Aubrey, as well as her brother, Jay Kirsch and his wife Cindy of Massapequa Park.

Friends and relatives will gather on Thursday, June 25th, 4-9 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville where a service will be held at 7:30 p.m.  Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 26th.
