Steven E. Glidden

Steven E. Glidden of Warner Robins, GA  passed on July 13, 2021, formerly of Sayville, New York. Steven was a proud member of the U.S. Army where he served form 1980-1986. As proud as he was of his military service, he was even more so of his career in law enforcement which started in the Daytona Beach, Florida Police Department. The next 16 years Steven was an officer with the Houston County Sheriff’s Department in Georgia. He was extremely proud to wear the badge and serve and protect as a member of their SWAT team. His passions to serve and protect were evident in his work with animal rescue where he always had a soft spot to help especially the expectant mother dogs and their new- born pups.

    Steven is survived by his Father William of Daytona Beach, Florida his sisters Suzy (Frank) Ferremi of Sayville, Sandi (Kevin) Quinn of Rocky Point and Nieces and Nephews Jason, Justin (Denise), Brian (Heather), Jeffrey (Katie), Brandon, Jenna and Kayla. He was pre-deceased by his mother Zoe.

    Services to take place today July 22nd at St. Ann’s Episcopal church in Sayville followed by burial in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Raynor & D’ Andrea Funeral Home 245 Montauk Hwy West Sayville, New York 11796.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to an animal rescue of your own choosing.
