Sheila Ann Kaan

Sheila Ann Kaan, age 84, resident of East Patchogue died on November 2, 2025.

Sheila is survived by her children Peggie Dull and her husband David, Theresa Chierchie, Tonya Perry and her husband Richard, and Joseph Kaan, her ten beloved grandchildren and two cherished great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Peter Kaan, Sr.

Sheila Kaan was a force of nature- she was someone who made life long friends in the grocery line, who could deflate a phoney with a cutting remark and charm them while she did it, and who somehow always managed to burn one item of every Holiday meal, usually the bread. Which is why there were never batteries in the kitchen smoke alarm. 

Sheila’s family will receive visitors on Wednesday, November 5th from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home 683 Montauk Highway, Bayport. A chapel service will be held at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital or your local food pantry in Sheila’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
