When we first got the call confirming that Sean had cancer, we all had the same reaction…what can we do to help? That’s exactly how Sean lived his life- always showing up for others, always giving, always caring.
We made a promise to keep him comfortable, to make sure he knew how loved he was. And that’s what we did, because that’s what he would’ve done for any of us.
Sean always looked out for me like a big brother. He had my back, called me out when I needed it, and shared more wisdom (and random facts) than anyone I’ve ever met. We could talk about anything: politics, religion, music, food, faith, our cultures…it didn’t matter. It always came back to laughter and respect.
I’ll miss you, brother. I’ll light that cigar in your honor, and think of all the good times we had. Thanks for being a friend that became family.
Love you always, Sean.
