Rose DeMauro

Rose DeMauro passed peacefully on August 23, 2023, at the age of 90. Born on October 10, 1932, she grew up in Brooklyn, New York and lived most of her life in Long Island. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Alfred and son John (Kelly Ann) and sister Theresa LaMattina (Jerry). Rose was the beloved mother of Joseph (Mary Jane), Anthony (Elizabeth), Richard (Diane/Brittney) and Alfred (Robyn); sister to John Gorga (Jean); grandmother to Jesse, Anthony, and Michael; and great grandmother to Noah, Gabriella, Maverick, and Nico. She was very active in her community and served as President of the Sunshine Club and member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary Club. Rose enjoyed travelling and spending quality time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral Mass: Monday, August 28th  10:00 a.m. at St. John Nepomucene RC Church 1140 Locust Avenue Bohemia

Interment to follow:  at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton
