Rosalie Cuffaro, 86, a resident of West Sayville, LI, passed peacefully on January 3, 2024. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Rose moved to West Sayville in 1968 where she owned and operated Jimmy’s Deli along with her husband for many years. Mrs. Cuffaro was a very active member and a Eucharistic Minister at St. John Nepomucene RC Church in Bohemia. She was also a longtime member of the “Over 60 Club.”
Mrs. Cuffaro was predeceased by her husband, Vincent “Jimmy” in 2001. She is survived by her three children, Pietrina “Patti” Patrizi and her husband Dominick of Sayville, Ann Bacher of Oakdale and Vincent “Jimmy” Jr and his wife Melissa of West Sayville, as well as four grandchildren, Dominick (Katie), Jessica (Mike), Anthony (Paige) and Vincent (Sarah), and her three great-grandchildren, Angelo, Nina and Mia.
Friends and relatives will gather on Monday, January 6th, 3-8 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 7th at 11 a.m. at St. John Nepomucene RC Church in Bohemia and interment will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Sayville.
