Robert B. Waldo, Jr.

Robert B. Waldo, Jr., age 89 of Bayport on June 11, 2022.  Graduate of Penn State University class of 1960, and worked as a Civil Engineer on Long Island until his retirement. He is a  US Army Veteran serving from 1954 to 1956. He enjoyed participating in track and field at Bay Shore High School, Farmingdale State College and Penn State University where he was a renowned pole vaulter.  He also played basketball at Bay Shore and Farmingdale.  He remained an avid sports fan throughout his life.  He loved nature and the outdoors including volunteering with his wife Tamara for Okeanos and also at the Fire Island Lighthouse located at Robert Moses State Park. He was beloved to all who knew him and most of all he loved his family dearly.

Beloved husband of the late Tamara. Loving father of Robert III and Karen.

A church service will held on Saturday June 18, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Ann’s Epicopal Church, Sayville. 

In lieu of flowers donations to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, 8815 Conroy Windermere Rd., Suite 309, Orlando, FL 32835 would be appreciated.
