Robert Michael Schilling, Sr.

Robert Michael Schilling, Sr., 84, a forty-year resident of Sayville, NY, died suddenly on December 4, 2024.  Raised in Brooklyn, Robert graduated from LaSalle Military Academy in Oakdale.  He went on to Manhattan College where he earned his degree in Civil Engineering.  Mr. Schilling owned and operated Charles Schilling and Sons for many years before retiring in 2009.

Mr. Schilling is survived by three sons, Michael of Texas, James and his wife Magda of North Carolina and John and his wife Andrea of Rhode Island, his six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Victoria, Catherine, Nicholas, Gabrielle and Natalia, a great grandchild, as well as his sister, Virginia Dispaltro and her husband John of St. James, NY.  He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth, by three sons, Robert, Matthew and Luke and by his brother, Charles.

Friends and relatives will gather on Friday, December 13th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville and a private cremation will follow.
