Richard L. (Dick) McGuire

Richard L. (Dick) McGuire, 84, passed away on October 30th, at home in Sayville after a long illness. Lifelong New York resident, Richard served his country in the U.S.  Army and later joined the Nassau County Police Department, finishing a 20-year career as a Detective Sergeant. After the police department he worked for Northrop Grumman leading a Corporate Security team.

He was married to Irene for 62 years; devoted father to Patricia, Jennifer, Richard and the late Eileen; grandfather to Adeline, Ronan, Eamon and Abigail.         

In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s name to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or The Tunnels to Towers Foundation would be appreciated.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville and a private cremation followed.
