In Loving Memory of Peter Andre Morris and Drue Ann Morris
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Andre Morris and his beloved wife of 61 years, Drue Ann Morris (née Doll)—devoted parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and cherished members of the Sayville community.
Peter Andre Morris, 86, of Sayville, passed away on June 18, 2022. A proud graduate of Sayville High School, Peter went on to earn his degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He enjoyed a long and accomplished career as a project manager at Grumman in Bethpage, where he worked for 35 years. In retirement, Peter continued to give back to the community as Stage Crew Director for the Sayville Public Schools, where his passion and technical skill enriched countless student productions.
Drue Ann Morris, 87, passed away on April 19, 2025. Also a graduate of Sayville High School, Drue went on to graduate from SUNY Cortland. Drue later earned her Master’s Degree from SUNY Stony Brook. She was a beloved and dedicated math teacher in the Sayville Public School system, where she inspired generations of students with her intelligence, compassion, and unwavering dedication.
Peter and Drue shared a remarkable life built on love, partnership, and service. Their marriage was a testament to devotion and strength, and their home was always filled with warmth and laughter. Surrounded by family and friends in their final moments, they left behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and deep love.
They are survived by their children: Peter of Pocatello, ID; Paul of Santee, CA; and Philip and his wife Lisa of Melville. Peter and Drue were proud grandparents to Kenneth and his wife Sarah, Dylan, Samantha, Arianna, Andrew, and McKenzie, and great-grandparents to Evelyn Rose.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered — their legacy lives on in all who were fortunate to know them.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 7:00–9:00 p.m. at Raynor and D’Andrea Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, West Sayville. A Chapel Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. that evening. Cremation will be private.
