Peter Labusohr

Peter Labusohr, Loving husband of Virginia E. Labusohr of 49 years, doting father of Amanda L. Hyatt; beloved grandfather of Charlie Hyatt, and beloved brother of Suzy and Bob; brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many, passed away Thursday, April 10.

Pete grew up in West Islip and, always a brilliant student, graduated 10th in his class, earning a full scholarship to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.

He and his wife have been long-time residents of Bayport, N.Y.  Pete worked in landscaping and commercial Real Estate.  He was a fixture at the Meadow Croft Estate in Sayville, and could always be seen there walking his faithful companion, Augie.

Pete worshipped the New York Yankees, traveling to MLB stadiums with his UVA chums; the Beach Boys, the Grateful Dead, the Kinks and more.  

A hale fellow, well met, he is greatly missed by his family, friends, and community.

Visitation:  Monday, April 14th  4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home 683 Montauk Hwy. Bayport.

Funeral Mass:  Tuesday, April 15th 10:15 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church 175 Blue Point Ave. Blue Point
