Peter M. Dreyer, 89, a resident of Bayport, NY for more than fifty years, died on Monday, March 31, 2025. Mr. Dreyer worked with the NYPD for thirty years before retiring as a Detective Sergeant in 1989. Peter also owned and operated Dreyer Exterminating for many years; a company that his son John currently runs.
Mr. Dreyer was predeceased by his wife, Gail. He is survived by his six children, Michael and his wife Lisa, John and his wife Jane, Lisa and her husband Kofi, Mary Miles and her husband Steven, Christina McIvor and her husband John, Anne Scinto and her husband Joseph, his grandchildren, Kate, Michael, Johnnie, Kael, Peter, Elizabeth, Olivia, Paul, Jeremy, Laura, Joseph, Nicolas and Mary, as well as three great grandchildren, Aiden, Isla, and Lily.
Friends and relatives will gather for a Mass of the Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4th at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church in Blue Point. Interment will follow at Blue Point Cemetery.
