Penellope "Kenny" McGarr

Penellope “Kenny” Lynn McGarr, 24, of Oakdale, NY, passed away on October 28, 2025.  Raised in Oakdale, Penellope graduated Connetquot HighSchool and went on to attend Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. 

Penellope is survived by her parents, Lisa and Edward McGarr of South Carolina, her siblings, Ed McGarr and wife Sarah of South Carolina, Megan Correggia and her husband Nicholas of Oakdale, Joseph and Michael McGarr of Oakdale and Jacob Smith of North Carolina, as well as two nephews, Theo and Nicholas.  She was predeceased by her nephew Grady earlier this year.

Penellope is leaving behind a legacy of creativity, kindness, and love. Penellope was a gifted artist whose work reflected her vibrant spirit and deep compassion for others. Her family and friends will forever cherish her laughter, her art, and the light she brought into their lives.

Friends and relatives will gather on Thursday, November 6th, 4-8 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville where a service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
