Patricia A. Corcoran, 90, a beloved 60 year resident of Sayville, New York passed away on November 4, 2025. Born and raised in Long Beach, with her Irish emigrant parents and sister Betty, Pat graduated from Long Beach High School in 1952. She began her career working for several years as secretary to the president at the American Management Association, where she would meet her future husband, Jack Corcoran.
Pat devoted much of her life to her family, friends and faith. She was a deeply committed and active member of Saint Lawrence R.C. Church in Sayville, where she served almost 15 years as secretary to the principal at their parochial school and later in the rectory office. Her welcoming smile, gentle spirit, and love for the St. Lawrence students made Pat a cherished part of the parish family.
Pat loved Ireland and took great pride in her Irish heritage. Her many trips over, especially those shared with her family, were among her most treasured memories. Above all, Pat's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her kitchen was the gathering place for Sunday breakfasts, holiday celebrations, or just pop in visits where chocolate cake, apple pie or Irish soda bread waited to welcome all.
Pat was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Jack, in 2023. She is survived by her four children: Kevin and his wife Deborah of Virginia, Brigid Marino of Sayville, Meghan Richardson and her husband John of Maryland, and Timothy and his wife Heather of West Sayville; as well as her twelve grandchildren: Liam, Carolan, Maggie, Emma, Tommy, James, Eilise, Aniela, Grace, Trey, Jack, and Lily.
Friends and relatives will gather on Monday, November 10th from 4–8 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 11th at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville, with interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
