Nicholas F. Campson, a resident of Sayville for over 55 years, passed away on October 6, 2020. Nicholas was the owner and operator of Communications Corner, specializing in audio/visual equipment and service. He was a 55 plus year member of the Sayville Fire Department and was the driving force behind establishing the Friends of Islip Town Firefighters Museum. Nicholas was a caring and loving man and most of all was devoted to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Richard, and his wife Debbie, of California, Karen Cavanagh, of Sayville, Susan Torsiello, and her husband Larry, of Bayport, and Edward, of Patchogue, his grandchildren Keegan, Lindsay, Laura, Kelly, Graham, and Katie, his three great grandchildren, and his sister Ann Fazio. Nicholas is predeceased by his wife of 70 years Ann and his son Michael.
Friends and family gathered at the Sayville Fire Department on Saturday October 10, 2020 where the Firematics service was conducted. Private cremation followed. Arrangements entrusted to Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home.
