Nancy Lee Rowan

Nancy Rowan of Palmyra VA passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026 surrounded with the love of her family and friends. She was born on August 1, 1955 to John and Gertrude Rowan. 

Nancy brought an abundance of love, light, and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Nancy possessed a gentle soul and contagious smile. When she smiled at you, you knew you were going to have a great day. Nancy taught our family the true meaning of unconditional love. She found pure happiness in crocheting blankets for any occasion; new babies, cats, dogs, or furniture. You were blessed to receive a crocheted blanket and of course had to pay the $20 bucks! She was a cherished gift to our family. Nancy was an angel on earth. 

Preceded in death are her parents John and Gertrude Rowan, and brothers Danny and Ronald Rowan of Sayville, NY. Survived by siblings, brother John Rowan and wife Flory of San Bernardino, CA; sisters JoAnn Rowan and adopted sister Denise Beattie of Palmyra, VA; nieces Nicole Rowan-Teeter, Ashley Rowan, Brooke Rowan, and Carey Rowan; nephews Danny Rowan and Blair Rowan and ten great nieces and nephews.

Visitation- Sunday July 19, 2026 from 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home, 245 Main St.

Interment- St. Lawrence Cemetery
