Melissa Lanuto

Melissa Lanuto, of Selden, New York, passed away peacefully. She was born on July 25, 1976, and will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and deep love for her family.

Melissa was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth Lanuto-Diener, Eric Diener, and Antonio Lanuto. She was a devoted and loving mother to Ricky Little, Jalissa Nedd, Livia Nedd, and Layla Nedd, who were the center of her world.

She was also a proud and caring grandmother to Carmila Little and Alonzo Little, and a loving aunt to many.

Melissa is survived by her siblings: Chris Lanuto, Jessica Lanuto, Matthew Lanuto (and Bryly Lanuto), John Diener, Renee Elyse Guevara (née Diener), and her husband, Wilfredo Guevara, and Tony. She shared close and meaningful bonds with each of them.

Melissa had a passion for the arts and was a ballerina and pagent queen in her younger years. She also pursued her education in nursing at Stony Brook, showing her desire to care for others. She worked with Barzan Modeling of New York and carried herself with confidence and creativity.

Known for her generous heart, Melissa was someone who would give you her last if you needed it. She loved her family deeply and had a vibrant personality, often saying her favorite phrase, “Gettem gottm,” bringing smiles to those around her. She lived with humor and strength, once saying, “The last thing to go will be my sense of humor.”

Melissa’s love, laughter, and kindness will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.

Services have been entrusted to Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home, located at 245 Main Street, West Sayville, NY 11796.

Public visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a chapel service beginning at 8:00 PM.

Cremation will follow, with arrangements at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches, New York.
