In Loving Memory of Maureen Robinson (née Prost)
Maureen passed away surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and compassion. She is survived by her devoted children, Kelly, Colleen and Timothy, and her cherished grandchildren, Pearle, Jaxson, and Lyncoln. She also leaves behind her loving nieces Ellen, Krista, Marjorie, Suzanne, and Stacy, and her nephew Frank, all of whom were touched by her presence in their lives.
She is predeceased by her former husbands, Lawrence Gilrain and William Robinson, and her long-time partner, Michael Huthwaite. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Frank Prost, Patricia Konrad, and Margaret DeMarco, as well as her nephew, Vincent DeMarco.
Maureen attended St. Joseph’s College, earning her bachelor’s degree in gerontology. Her passion for service led her to a fulfilling career as the Director of Recreational Therapy at Woodhaven Nursing Home, where she brought joy, dignity, and compassion to countless residents over the years.
A vibrant and tenacious soul, Maureen faced every challenge in life with courage, grace, and an unshakable spirit. Her love of life was boundless—she found beauty in the everyday and joy in the company of others. She was the heart and planner of many family adventures that brought laughter, memories, and togetherness.
Maureen was an avid reader and a creative spirit, known especially for her remarkable arts and crafts—and her ever-growing ribbon collection, which became something of a signature. Her kindness, generosity, and joyful outlook touched all who knew her.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the countless lives she enriched with her care, compassion, and unwavering zest for life.
She will be remembered always—with love.
Family will receive visitors Sunday, November 16th 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home 683 Montauk Hwy. Bayport, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 17th 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snow Rc Church 175 Blue Point Avenue Blue Point, NY. Interment will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Sayville, NY.
