Mary Christina Keeley

Mary Christina Keeley, 76 of Mount Sinai NY passed away peacefully in her home on February 26, 2026.  Mary was born and raised in Glenbeigh, County Kerry Ireland on December 12, 1949 to John T Sheehan and Mary Ellen O'sullivan.  At 18 years old, Christine as she was nicknamed, moved here on her own to start a new life in America. 

Mary loved family gatherings, dancing, music, and having fun.  She had a beautiful smile that always lifted those around her.  Mary was always generous and would do anything to help those around her.

Mary was a strong woman, she gracefully fought a tough battle for the last 9 months and never showed any signs of giving up.  Her love to reunite with family and friends was powering her resilience, especially to get back home to her daughter Lisa.

Mary is survived by her brother John, her sister Kathy, her son John and his wife Janessa, her daughter Lisa, and her two grandchildren Sarah and Gabriel.

Mom, Nana, Christine will forever be missed, and her love and kindness will always shine through all of us, “bye for now”.

Visitation- Sunday March 1, 2026 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home, 245 Main St.

Funeral Mass- Monday March 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd, Holbrook

Interment- Bohemia Union Cemetery
