Martin Dennis McGuire

Martin Dennis McGuire, age 66, resident of Oakdale, died on December 2, 2024; one day shy of his 67th birthday. Marty is survived by his siblings; Carol McGuire, Margaret Kempf and her husband Leslie, Jane Van Pelt and her husband Robert, and Thomas McGuire. He leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews; Renee Calta and her husband Daniel Cogliano, Kaitlin Wolfe and her husband Dan, Staci Roberts and her husband Mark, and Daniel Kempf.

Marty was employed by the Department of Environmental Protection in New York City, where he was the Head Safety Officer for over 20 years. Marty was a lifelong member of the West Oak Recreational Club in Oakdale, NY, where he was a year-round caretaker. His main passion in life was spending the summers on the Great South Bay, and the beaches of Fire Island with his family and friends. His legacy will live on, not only in the hearts of his family, but in the camp that he loved so much.
