It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marjorie, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and cherished member of her community. She peacefully departed this life on November 15, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, learning, and unwavering dedication to her family and all who knew her.

Born on July 26, 1938 in Hempstead, NY Marjorie grew up with a passion for education and an even greater love for family. Her 65 year marriage to her beloved husband, James, was a testament to the power of love, commitment, and mutual respect. Their bond was extraordinary, a partnership rooted in unwavering devotion and deep understanding. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, faith, and countless cherished memories, setting an inspiring example for generations to come.

As a mother of seven children, Marjorie embraced her role with boundless love and tireless energy, creating a home full of warmth and wisdom. Her legacy expanded with her joy as a grandmother to 17 grandchildren, one great-grand child and two more on the way.

Marjorie was also a dedicated educator, bringing her nurturing spirit and passion for learning to East Islip Schools. She was known for her reliability and was always the first called upon to substitute when her colleagues needed support. Her patience, kindness, and ability to inspire left an indelible mark on her students, peers, and community.

Her faith, resilience, and selfless spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, James, her seven children, her cherished grandchildren; and her ever-growing family.

Her extraordinary love, unwavering faith, and unforgettable kindness will continue to guide and inspire all who knew her.

Family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 19th  4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home 245 Montauk Hwy. West Sayville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 20th  10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church 240 W. Main St. Sayville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:  ASPCA 424 E. 92nd Street New York, NY 19128.
