Marguerite (Marge) L. McLachlan (Campbell) of Hartwell Georgia and Bohemia N.Y. joined her beloved husband Andrew Jr, on October 20, 2023. Marge was born in Islip Terrace, New York on January 16, 1932 to her parents, Harry and Catherine Campbell. Marge was a Registered Nurse, and after 40 years of service she retired from the Central Islip Psychiatric Center in 1987. Marge is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Andrew Jr., son David, father Harry Campbell, mother Catherine Sulima, stepfather Frederick Sulima Jr. and sister Catherine Signorelli. Survived by her daughter Donna McLachlan, son Andrew (Tonya) McLachlan, daughter-in-law Janice (David) McLachlan, brother Frederick (Dee) Sulima III, sister Theresa Rosario and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marge was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Hartwell, GA. and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sayville N.Y. Marge lived her life according to 1 Corinthians, verse 13 and would often quote the last sentence “So faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love (13:7).” Marge was an avid traveler enjoying trips to foreign countries and cruising. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Quilters of the Hart Guild in Hartwell, GA. Marge is remembered by her many crocheted afghans and quilts given to family and charities. Her late husband, Andrew Jr., was a member of the International Police Association and Marge remained an active member after his death. Marge has passed along a wonderful legacy for those lives she touched during her life on earth.
Visitation: Thursday, October 26th 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home 245 Montauk Hwy. West Sayville
Chapel Service: Friday, October 27th 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home
Interment to follow: at Union Cemetery Sayville.
