Margaret "Peggy" Riefenstahl

Margaret “Peggy” Riefenstahl, 87, a 61-year resident of Bayport, passed away on May 22, 2023.  She was a vibrant, energetic, and caring person, always putting others first.  Peggy was involved in many social activities and volunteered much of her time in her community.  While raising her family, she enjoyed camping and boating, making many life-long friendships along the way.  She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, crocheting, baking, reading, golfing, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and whistling back to the birds in the neighborhood.  She regularly attended worship services at the Bayport United Methodist Church.  Peggy was predeceased by her husband George S. in April of 2006.  She was the loving mother of Susan Morris and her late husband Mick, Linda Robinson and her husband Mike, and George W. Riefenstahl and his wife Dee.  She was a devoted grandmother (Nana) to Jeff, Daniel, Jesse, Maggie, George P., and Andrew.  She was the adored aunt of many nieces and nephews.  She will be greatly missed by her family & the many groups she was actively involved with.
