Margaret Mary Rhodes

Margaret Mary Rhodes, 91, of Sayville, NY, died on January 5, 2026.  Raised in Brooklyn, Margaret Mary summered in Sayville as a child and settled here full time in the 1950s.  Mrs. Rhodes worked as a tax examiner with the IRS for more than twenty years.

Mrs. Rhodes is survived by her daughter, Holly Rhodes-Teague of Bayport, her son, Craig Rhodes of Sayville, eight grandchildren, Craig, Thomas, Taylor, Elizabeth, Geoffrey, Christopher, Lucas and Connor, five great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Harper, Amelia, Blake and Bennett, as well as her sister, Ruth Plesh of Blue Point and her sister-in-law, Annette Keenan of Sayville.  She was predeceased by two sons, George and Thomas,  her son-in-law, Douglas Teague and her brother Thomas W. Keenan.

Friends and relatives will gather on Friday, January 9th, 4-8 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville.  A church service will be held on Saturday, January 10th at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Sayville and interment will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Sayville.
