"Margie”

Remembering Marge
She was “Margie” to her beloved forty-nine cousins.
“Marge the Sarge” to her coworkers.
“Mom” or “Marge” to her closest friends.
“Ma,” “Mom,” or “Momma” to her six children.
And “Mahmaw” to her nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Though an only child, Marge filled her life with people—just the way she liked it. A true social butterfly that lit up every room with her charm and a booming laugh (you knew it was her if she was 15 aisles away in a Supermarket or a far side of an Auditorium). Everyone always left recalling her unmistakable presence.
She found immense joy in her work spent collaborating and connecting with her colleagues. She also poured her heart into nurturing her animals, but above all her greatest happiness came from loving and caring for her children.
She was the queen of hospitality—no guest list was ever too long and no one ever left her home hungry. A hippie at heart with a gypsy soul, she loved to dance, to sing, and everyone looked forward to spending time with her.
A faithful early riser who tried her best to know and love God donating much of her time bookkeeping and teaching religious education for her local church.
Marge was deeply loved by many—and that love will live on.
Forever in our hearts.
Your laughter, your spirit, your love—
we carry them with us always.
