Margaret Teresa D'Onofrio

Margaret Teresa D’Onofrio, a resident of Sayville for 59 years, passed away at home on May 2, 2023. Mrs. D’Onofrio was a stay at home mom for many years, raising her four children. After all her children married and moved out, Margaret decided to obtain her driver's license where she then gained employment with the Times Square Store, and then Kmart. Over the years she became active in several senior organizations and especially enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen King, and her husband Doug, John, and his wife Gail, and William, and his wife Kathy, her 9 grandchildren, her 16 great grandchildren, her sister Dorothy Dempsey, her brother Tom Allen, and her daughter in law Merrill She is predeceased by her husband John, and her son Harry. Her family was the most important part of her life.

Friends and family gathered at the Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home, West Sayville on Thursday May 4, 2023. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday May 5, 20223 at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville. Interment followed at the Parish Cemetery.

Visitation- Thursday May 4, 2023 from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at our West Sayville Funeral Home, 245 Main St.

Funeral Mass- Friday May 5, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence RC Church

Interment- St. Lawrence Cemetery
