Lucille J. Clifton

Lucille J. Clifton, age 90, resident of Sayville, died on December 22, 2025. Lucille worked 20 years for the Town of Islip in the building dept. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Lucille was known for her great cooking and baking. She was a best friend to both her daughters and a cherished friend to all that knew her. Lucille’s legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Lucille is survived by her children Laura Saunders and her husband David, Bill and his partner Elizabeth, James and his wife Rima, Christina Clifton-White and her husband Robert, her grandchildren Christopher, Elizabeth, John, William, Travis, Jessica, Sarah, Bridgette, Jamie and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years William and her son Michael.

Family will receive visitors on Saturday, January 3rd from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home 245 Montauk Hwy. West Sayville. A chapel service will take place 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation private. Interment of ashes will be on Monday, January 5th at Calverton National Cemetery.
