Leslie Silverman, 70, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, August 6 surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of kindness and generosity of spirit and time. A business owner and carpenter by trade, he dedicated his life's work to making people happy through his talent and creativity whether it was bringing his customer's visions for a new home renovation project to reality, building custom furniture, or crafting his well-admired wood sculptures that adorn the lawn of the estate he lovingly called home over the past two decades. Over the course of 30 years, his selfless work extended to supporting his fellow AA members in helping them maintain their sobriety returning the kindness shown to him throughout his journey to sobriety.

Leslie was born in Miami, Florida, and moved to Long Island as a young boy where he lived the rest of his life first in Patchogue and then in Brookhaven. He is survived by his mother Guthbjorg (Sis) Silverman, sisters Valerie Silverman-Harmon (Barry), Stephanie Infranco (Michael), and Dori Quarltere (Bruce) and nephew, Brendan Harmon, and nieces Marielle and Andrea Infranco and Theanna Quarltere. Leslie was preceded in death by his father, Lionel Silverman.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
