Leonora Combattente

Leonora Combattente, a resident of Blue Point for 17 years, passed away on December 18, 2025. She was born in the Bronx in 1937 and married her husband, the love of her life, Alfred, in 1962. Together they moved to Hicksville to start their family, where they welcomed their daughter, Adele. Leonora lived there for more than 40 years, through the passing of her beloved husband in 1992.

Leonora was a strong, energetic woman with deep Italian roots. She was gracious and warm to all, a fantastic and instinctual cook, and an absolute animal lover.

She is survived by her daughter, Adele Cullen; her son-in-law, Christian; and her grandchildren, Vanessa, Alexandra, and Thomas, who lovingly referred to her as “Beda.” Leonora was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation- Sunday December 21, 2025 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 p.m. at our Bayport Funeral Home, 683 Montauk Hwy.

Chapel Service & Family sharing of Memories- Sunday December 21, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at our Bayport Funeral Home, 683 Montauk Hwy.

Church Service- Monday December 22, 2025 at Grace Chapel at 11:15 a.m.

Interment- Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury
