Lauren E. Mastandrea, 39, a lifelong resident of the Bayport area, died suddenly on September 27, 2025. A graduate of St. John the Bapist High School in West Islip, Lauren went on to earn her Bachelors Degree at Roger Williams University and dual Masters Degrees at Dowling College. She worked as a Special Education Teacher in several places here on Long Island. Lauren loved spending time on Fire Island and was proud to have recently completed the NYC Marathon.
Lauren is survived by her parents, Joseph and Kathleen Mastandrea of Bayport, her sister, Lyndsey Daversa and her husband Gino of East Moriches, her brother, Matthew Mastandrea and his wife Allison of Bayport, her grandfather, Saverio Mastandrea, as well as her niece and nephews, Gionni, Nico and Emilia, and her beloved dog, Molson.
Friends and relatives will gather on Thursday, October 2nd, 4-8 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 3rd at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church in Blue Point and a private cremation will follow.
