Kevin Eleazer Jackson, 68, of Sayville, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025. Born on September 29, 1956, in Bay Shore, New York, he was the beloved son of the late Pauline and Kenneth Jackson. He was also predeceased by his brothers Kenneth “Skippy,” Terrance “Terry,” Leslie, and David, as well as his daughter, Sherri.
Kevin was a loving man who cherished time with his family. Though he didn’t attend church regularly, he had a strong faith and believed in God’s grace. He enjoyed the simple joys of life—sitting outdoors in the sunshine, fishing on the water whether or not the fish were biting, and sipping piping hot cups of coffee or tea that never seemed quite hot enough. He was also a dedicated New York Giants fan, vowing to give up on them after a tough loss, yet faithfully cheering them on again the very next week.
Kevin had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his unique routines. If he was cooking, he wanted the kitchen to himself, no interruptions allowed. If you planned to call or visit, it had to be after 11 a.m.—otherwise, he simply wouldn’t answer. And if you wanted to spend a day with him, you had to give him plenty of notice, because he never liked to be rushed. Those who knew Kevin best will remember these little rhythms of his life, which were part of what made him so special.
Kevin’s legacy lives on in his family, who will carry forward the love, laughter, and memories he gave them.
