Ken was born and raised in Islip NY. He was a 1961 graduate of Islip High School where he made many lifetime friends.
During that time, he also met his future wife, Carol (Ferrara) of West Sayville, whom he married In 1964. They settled in Sayville and proudly raised two daughters, Amy & Jennifer.
Ken proudly served in the U.S. Navy and expressed his love of Country throughout his life.
Ken was a man of many interests. He was well known in the classic car circle for his meticulous, brightly colored hot rods which were displayed at many car shows on the East Coast as well as in many local parades. He was a talented musician from an early age. First playing the accordion, at age 5, then guitar, trumpet and eventually developing a singing voice. He performed for many years at venues throughout Long Island with his Band mates who were lifelong friends. Kens love of music continued throughout his entire life and is part of his legacy.
Ken was also a fishing enthusiast. He grew up in a family of Long Island Baymen, which instilled in him, a great love of the sea. He shared his passion with family and friends throughout his life and enjoyed many fishing expeditions from the Great South Bay to Costa Rica.
Ken, from a young age, had a unique love & compassion for all animals. Whether it be rehabilitating, sheltering, caring for, feeding or adopting an animal in need, he instilled this in both his daughters.
Ken will be remembered as a warm, kind, knowledgeable, compassionate man known for his altruism and giving nature as well as his love and pride in his family.

Graveside Service: Monday, March 20th 11:00 a.m. at Calverton National Cemetery, Princeton Blvd. Calverton. Procession will be leaving from the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. to follow to Calverton National.
