Josephine Macarle

Josephine Macarle, 96, of Sayville, NY, died on Monday, April 27, 2026.  A resident of Sayville for more than 70 years, Josephine was a retired Elementary teacher for more than twenty years in the Brentwood School District.

Mrs. Macarle is survived by three children, Maria Macarle of West Sayville, Anthony Macarle and his wife Sharon of Arizona and Cynthia Style of Sayville, her grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, David, Toby, Michelle, Peter, Steven, Joseph, great-grandchildren, TJ, Boden, Malia, Kenin, Kalya, Eliana, Renley, Novie, Alaura and Isaiah, as well as a great-great grandchild, Mila.  She acquired bonus grandchildren, Jeff Patty, Donald, Jenny and Jimmy. Josephine was predeceased by her husband Anthony in 2001 and by her daughter Angel Macarle May in 2024.

Friends and relatives will gather on Friday, May 1st, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 2nd at St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville and interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
