Visiting Hours:  Thursday, July 30th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at our West Sayville facility.  

Funeral Mass:  10 a.m. Friday, July 31st at St. Lawrence RC Church, Sayville.

Interment:  Sayville Union Cemetery.

Joseph G. Vermilyea, 66, of West Sayville, LI, died on Friday, July 24, 2020.  A lifelong resident of West Sayville, Joe graduated from Sayville High School.  He worked over the years in several industries; as a stock broker, as a mortgage broker Joe owned and operated DeMandeville Mortgage for several years, and more recently as a project manager with DRG Construction.  Joe was a devout Catholic and a lifelong member of St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville.

Joe is survived by his wife, Kristen, by his four children, Mickey and his wife Brittany of Bay Shore, Caileen of California, and Mary and Lucy, both of West Sayville, by his newborn granddaughter, Hazel, his brother, Charles and his wife Janet of Holbrook, his brother-in-law Mike Dempsey and his wife Kim, his sister-in-law Caroline Mulligan as well as his in-laws, Stefanie and George McLachlan and Mike and Patty Dempsey.
