Joseph Souto

Joseph Souto, 86, a resident of Sayville, NY, formerly of Bayport, NY, and Punta Gorda, FL, passed away on December 22, 2024.

Joseph proudly served in the U.S. Army and was the former owner and operator of Deer Park Stairbuilding & Millwork Co., specializing in custom stairs and stair rails, serving Long Island and the tri-state area.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Lita; his sons, Michael (and his fiancée Brianne Langstaff) and Joseph (and his wife Dawn); his grandchildren, Kayli, Logan, Gavin, Isabella, and Alexandra; and his extended family. Joseph was predeceased by his baby daughter, Maria Elena.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, December 29th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home, 683 Montauk Hwy., Bayport. A chapel service will take place at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be on Monday, December 30th, at 12:00 p.m. at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. to follow in procession to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
