Joseph Johnson

Joseph A. Johnson, 92, a lifelong resident of Bohemia, LI, died on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.  Mr. Johnson served in the US Army during the Post World War II Cold War Era.  He was very active with the Boy Scouts and formed Troop 438 and Cub Pack 438 in Bohemia.  Mr. Johnson was also a longtime active member of Sayville United Methodist Church.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Georgiana (nee Ruzicka), his four children, Cathy Volkle, Bruce and his wife Laura, Gary and his wife Deborah Giannoni, and Jean Seamon and her husband Corey, by his eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as his siblings, Helen and Paul.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services were private. A celebration of Mr. Johnson’s life will be celebrated at a later date.
