Joseph F. Coluccio, 84, of Patchogue, LI, formerly of Sayville, LI, passed peacefully on January 8, 2022. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Joseph loved baseball and played in the farm system with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Mr. Coluccio worked as Vice President of Sales with 7-Up Brooklyn Bottling Company for many years. He was an active member of St. Lawrence RC Church in Sayville for years and more recently at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church in Blue Point. He was also a long time member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, St. Lawrence Council where he established many of his lifelong friends. Joe had many passions throughout his life which include the Mets, golfing, crabbing, gardening, barbequing, and playing cards. To Joe if you were his friend, you were family and that’s where he found his greatest joy. Being with family.
Mr. Coluccio is survived by his six children, Lisa Camarda and her husband Lenny of Blue Point, Stephen and his wife Dina of Yaphank, Linda Wetherell of Patchogue, Joseph of Oakdale, John and his wife Deborah of Sayville and Christopher and his wife Jennifer of Blue Point, as well as his grandchildren, Martina, Alexandra, Stephen (Roseanne), Anthony (Christi), Genevieve, Jeanette (Chris), Timothy (Madeline), Katelynn (Dillon), Samantha, Jayson, Dario, Isabella and Nico and three great-grandchildren, Antonia, Emory and Reagan, with a fourth on the way. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Antoinette, and by a grandson, Christopher A. Coluccio.
Friends and relatives will gather on Friday, January 14th, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 p.m. at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 15th at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church in Blue Point. A private cremation will follow.
